Music producer Ikram Bouloum, curator Antònia Folguera and computational linguistics researcher Ona de Gibert have developed a verbal and musical creation, a kind of situated radio production, to make present at the City and Science Biennial the female voices that the history and present of science tend to leave aside, take for granted or ignore. Although women have always been part of the world of scientific research, it is only recently that their work has begun to be supported and recognised.
This sound piece brings together the voices of a group of women scientists from different fields (engineers, neuroscientists, biologists, chemists...) and with different degrees of experience (students, PhD students and experienced researchers).
This piece features the voices of Eugenia Martínez, Irene Marco, Laura Pasqual, Paula Santamaría and Esther Serrano Saiz. The initiatives To the Mothers of Science, Digitalfems and Young IT Girls have also collaborated in the installation.
