Ona de Gibert
Researcher in Machine Translation
She is a PhD student in Machine Translation at the University of Helsinki, where she contributes to the development of language technologies for minority languages. She holds a degree in Modern Languages and Literatures from the University of Barcelona (UB) and a Master's degree in Language Analysis and Processing from the UPV-EHU. Her experience in translation ranges from the implementation of translation in the corporate world to the search for new methods in her current position. In her spare time, she is a teacher and teaches programming to women and non-binary people, fighting to reduce the gender gap in the digital world. She has also been an associate professor at two universities, Pompeu Fabra University (UPF) and the Autonomous University of Barcelona (UAB).
