About the Biennial
For six days, the City and Science Biennial invites you to reflect on the fact that we live in a time full of challenges of all kinds and on all scales, and on how to address, from a scientific perspective, the crises to which we are exposed today.
The City and Science Biennial is one of the most important scientific culture events held in the city of Barcelona, showcasing the firm commitment of the Barcelona City Council to scientific policy. In fact, it is one of the initiatives included in the Barcelona Science and Innovation Strategic Plan 2024-2027, with the aim of strengthening science outreach and communication activities to foster critical thinking, knowledge, and scientific vocations across all ages. The first three editions have already attracted 30,000 visitors.
The upcoming 2025 Biennial brings a multitude of opportunities to experience today's rapid changes, to live with dignity and equality, and to embrace creativity, complexity, research, and its processes—all through science and knowledge. Experience the City and Science Biennial!
