This laboratory was created in December 2017 at the Institut del Teatre de Barcelona. It is a project devised and directed by the teacher and artist Juan Carlos Lérida with the aim of generating a framework for theoretical-practical research in the field of flamenco. With the intention of bringing together and making visible a growing academic and artistic fabric in Catalonia, the laboratory promotes meetings between students and teachers of the Institut del Teatre, as well as research professionals and national and international artists from different fields. The permanent team is made up of professionals in singing, guitar, percussion, dance of various specialities, drama, actors and actresses and personalities from the world of academic research.
