At the end of February 1923, Albert Einstein visited Barcelona and other places in Catalonia. The visit was made at the invitation of the physicist Esteve Terradas, as part of a process promoted by different sectors of Catalan society to build a modern scientific community. During his visit to the city, Einstein was able to meet various personalities and local institutions, and to give several lectures on his research. Coinciding with the centenary of his visit, the City and Science Biennial commemorates this moment through two activities.

In this Institutional event, two exhibitions will be held on Albert Einstein's visit and his capacity for dissemination. Likewise, the works being carried out in Catalonia on the subjects associated with Albert Einstein's work will be presented and it will be shown how we have gone from being in the background to being leading protagonists in many of them.

The activity will be attended by Antoni Roca, Xavier Roqué and Xavier Obradors. More information on the website of the Royal Academy of Sciences and Arts of Barcelona.
