He is a researcher at the Catalan Institution for Research and Advanced Studies (ICREA) and professor at the University of Barcelona (UB) since 2020. He is a mathematician working on Partial Differential Equations (PDEs). He has been principal investigator of several projects and has received several awards for young mathematicians and mathematicians in Spain, as well as the Scientific Research Award of the Princess of Girona Foundation. In addition, in 2021 he received the Stampacchia Gold Medal, an international prize awarded every three years in recognition of contributions in EDP and Variational Analysis. Recently, he has been elected Corresponding Academician of the Royal Academy of Sciences of Spain.
