Quartet Atenea
Musical group
It was founded in Barcelona in 2019 by four young musicians fascinated by the immense repertoire written for this formation. Despite its youth, the ensemble has performed in Europe in auditoriums and festivals such as the Lucerne Festival, the Barcelona Quartet Biennial, the Paris Quartet Biennial, the Wissembourg International Festival, the Musikdorf Ernen Festival and the Schubertíada de Vilabertran. The ensemble has also won prizes such as the Prix Credit Suisse, El Primer Palau and the Orpheus Chamber Competition.
Some of its public appearances have been national and world premieres of works by Raquel García Tomás, Antoni Ros Marbá and Mauro Hertig. Currently, the Quartet continues its musical training at the Hochschule für Musik Basel. It has also participated in various international academies such as the Prussia Cove International Music Seminar and the Academy of the Aix-En-Provence Festival.
