Emigrated to the United States in 2007 from San Vicente, El Salvador. While living in East Boston, a predominantly immigrant community, she faced eviction with three of her young children, at which point she became deeply involved in anti-displacement work with the organisation City Life/Vida Urbana. Since then, she has organised East Boston resident communities facing similar struggles and environmental justice issues. Rodriguez is a dynamic leader widely recognised for her perseverance, power-building and positivity.
