Aaron Gutiérrez
Lecturer in the Department of Geography at the URV and GRATET researcher
He holds a PhD in Geography from the University of Lleida (UdL). He has been a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Belgrade and visiting researcher at the London School of Economics, the Catholic University of Chile, the Université Paris 8, the Politecnico di Torino and the University of West England. Since 2011 he has been a lecturer in the Department of Geography and a member of the Research Group on Territorial Analysis and Tourism Studies (GRATET) at the Rovira i Virgili University (URV); since 2019, as an associate professor, and since 2022 accredited, as a full professor.
His main lines of research are transport and sustainable mobility, with special interest in tourist cities and regions and, on the other hand, urban and territorial planning with special interest in urban segregation, inequalities and housing. His studies are mainly based on primary data and a wide range of quantitative techniques.
He has participated in numerous national and international research projects and has directed eight research projects funded through competitive calls. He has published more than fifty articles in indexed scientific journals and has given more than sixty communications at conferences.
