Rethinking Death and Aging
- When
- 12 from June 2021 from 13:00 to 14:00
- Type
- In person (by prior registration)
Is death an inevitable phenomenon? How has our definition of death changed throughout history? Is there one type of death or is there actually many deaths: cell death, death of the person, death of consciousness, death of memories? Is there a death of machines? Can science and technology bring us closer and prepare our minds for the experience of mortality? Could virtual reality allow us to experiment with death?
These and other questions will be presented in a debate between diverse but complementary visions that bring together apparently distant disciplines to give us answers.
