Art and science: two ways of interrogating nature
Dialogue between Manuel Moreno, Department of Physics (UPC), and Jo Milne, EINA, University Centre for Design and Art attached to the UAB.
Art and science are two forms of knowledge, two ways of approaching the understanding of reality. The first is subjective, perceptive, vivid, reflective; the other is objective, experimental, observational. Come to this dialogue where an artist and a scientist will explore the relationship between the two disciplines.
Photography, reality, illusion
Micro-talks by Antonio Isalgué Buxeda and Judit López Besora, Architecture and Energy (UPC).
The representation of a fact or event literally means to present anew something that already exists. Photography is a very reliable method of representation, but even so, it can sometimes create the illusion of seeing something that is not exactly like reality.
Presented by Giulia Fornabaio, with the collaboration of the Associació Catalana de Comunicació Científica (ACCC).
