How to conserve and restore our seas
By Stefano Ambroso, Institute of Marine Sciences (ICM-CSIC).
Did you know that coral reefs provide resources and food for more than 500 million people? However, in recent decades, fishing and climate change are decimating these and many other marine ecosystems. If you are passionate about the sea, find out what scientists are doing to preserve them.
A fish with a label?
By Sara Mohamed, Institute of Marine Sciences (ICM-CSIC).
Get started in the sustainable consumption of seafood. Marine resources are of great value, a source of protein and nutrients in the global food supply, but it is a limited resource: according to the FAO, 75% of commercially valuable species are affected by overfishing. Responsible consumption can help protect it. Learn how to recognise seafood labelling and what "sustainable fish" really means.
Presented by Òscar Aznar Alemany, with the collaboration of the Catalan Association of Scientific Communication (ACCC).
