Fictional Narrative and the Limits of Science
- When
- 13 from June 2021 from 18:35 to 19:20
- Type
- In person (by prior registration)
By Pedro Meseguer, Artificial Intelligence Research Institute (IIIA-CSIC).
Science has limits and, sometimes, literature overcomes them. Come and find out why there are barriers that science cannot cross in phenomena such as the speed of light, the arrow of time, messages to the past, interstellar travel, the life of inorganic materials, cloning, exponential computing and teleportation. You will also get to know some narrative works that violate these limits.
