PhD in Information and Quantum Optics in the Autonomous University of Barcelona (UAB). She has worked and collaborated as a researcher at the European Organization for Nuclear Research (CERN) in Switzerland, the Los Alamos National Laboratory in the United States and the Institute of Photonic Sciences (ICFO).

She is a professor in the Physics Department of the UAB, co-founder of the technological consultancy Gauss & Neumann and a full member of the Royal European Academy of Doctors (RAED). She is also a scientific writer and broadcaster, and the author of, among others, the trilogy of novels The Door with Three Locks (2011), translated into 12 languages, Quantic Love (2012), The Universe in Your Hands (2015) and The Door with Three Locks 2. The Path of the Four Forces (2017).
