Researcher at the Institute for High Energy Physics (IFAE) and member of the Department of Physics at the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (UAB) where he is also the coordinator of the official master's degree of excellence in High Energy Physics, Astrophysics and Cosmology. He holds a degree in Physics and a PhD in Theoretical Physics from the UAB, winner of the Extraordinary Doctorate Award. He has carried out postdoctoral research stays at the Universities of Vienna, Granada and Mainz. He has obtained a Marie Curie grant and a Beatriu de Pinós grant, and has won a Lector Serra Hunter competition at the UAB.

His research focuses on understanding the dynamics of subatomic particles and confronting the Standard Model of Particle Physics with experimental data obtained at laboratories such as CERN and Fermilab. In the project Simulating the expansion of the COVID-19 outbreak, he aims to use the tools of particle physics to find out how the interaction between the smallest (viruses) conditions the dynamics of the largest (society), as happens with matter where the interaction between quarks and electrons explains the formation of atoms.
