CSIC research scientist at the Artificial Intelligence Research Institute, where he is the head of the Department of Logic and Reasoning. He holds a BSc in Physics and a PhD in Computer Science from the Polytechnic University of Catalonia (UPC). His main research topic is constrained reasoning, a subject on which he has published extensively. He has participated in several research projects and has developed editorial tasks in specialized journals. He has done teaching assignments, has supervised six doctoral theses and has served the AI community. He is an ECCAI fellow. Recently he has done different outreach activities around AI (conferences, workshops, a book to the collection What do we know about? a comic).
