Specialist in neurosciences. He directs the Visual Analogy Laboratory at the Institute of Neurosciences of Alicante (IN-UMH-CSIC). His current scientific interests are canonical brain computation and cognitive processing. He is currently working on new experimental and real-life theoretical paradigms to study what computational mechanisms may be involved in such seemingly disparate behaviors as visual and moral judgments. In collaboration with Jordi Camí he has published the book El Cerebro Ilusionista (RBA, 2020).
