Jordi Muñoz
Political scientist specialized in political preferences and behaviors
Associate Professor and ICREA Researcher at the Academy of Political Science of the University of Barcelona (UB). He also earned his PhD from the Pompeu Fabra University (UPF). He has worked at the Autonomous University of Barcelona (UAB) and has been a visiting researcher at the University of Gothenburg and Yale University.
He is currently a principal investigator in a project on the democratic dilemmas posed by the pandemic and in another on affective polarization in Catalonia. In addition, he is working on issues related to the political effects of terrorism and corruption. He is also researching the electoral effects of the legacies of Francoism and the incorporation of women into the electorate in the interwar period.
In addition, he collaborates with several media, especially the newspaper Ara. He has recently published the book Principio de realidad (L'Avenç 2020) about the independence process in Catalonia.
