Mark Nieuwenhuijsen

A doctor and a leading world expert in the study of environmental exposure, epidemiology and the assessment of the impact and risk in health, with a special interest in urban health. He has worked at the University of California, Davis, in the United States, and at Imperial College London in the United Kingdom. He is currently a professor at ISGlobal in Barcelona. He has published three books on the assessment of environmental exposure and epidemiology, including urban health and transport planning, and he is the co-author of more than 400 scientific articles.
