LIVINGLAB 2030: Barcelona, IVH without stigma
What research and innovation can help us to achieve this? Come and have your say!
In Catalonia there are more than 35,000 people living with IVH, the AIDS virus. However, many of us don’t know any of them. Have you ever wondered why? In fact we may well know one of them but the people affected keep it a secret. The reason is because this disease has a high degree of stigma attached to it. Can you imagine what this means for these people? What are the reasons for this stigma? How far does each one of us contribute to it? How does our prejudice affect them?
Could we imagine a Barcelona free of stigma, in which the people who live with IVH could talk freely about their condition? How could we focus on this change? How can research and innovation help us to progress in this direction?
In this workshop we will all become agents of change. We shall visualize how we would like Barcelona to be in 2030 with regard to the IVH stigma. Then, we shall analyse the current situation to detect opportunities for research and innovation projects that could help us to advance towards a more respectful Barcelona, encouraging coexistence and providing more effective IVH prevention.
