Besides entertainment, video games also generate debate and political criticism. We can find denunciations of human rights abuses, criticisms of political management and certain social problems such as war refugees. Therefore, they are a tool for raising political awareness through playful action.
One of the approaches of this field are video games that encourage citizen participation, known in the academic world as civic engagement. This is an aspect that makes the video game a tool for the relationship between members of different communities and for the promotion of democratic participation through techniques such as gamification.
