The city, the territory and its development are an inexhaustible source of inspiration and research for video games. They do so from the most historical approach where urban development is shown (the games so-called city-buildings) to the new digital narratives of thinking and planning of digital cities, their communities and conflicts such as sustainability through the game.
Examples include the game Minecraft, which proposes a form of city planning and debate at the service of citizens, and the Playable City project, which allows exploring new forms of inter-citizen relations in public space. Because the smart city must also be playable.
