Victòria Camps
Philosopher, professor and expert in bioethics
She is Professor Emeritus of Moral and Political Philosophy at the Autonomous University of Barcelona (UAB). She was a senator for the Partit dels Socialistes de Catalunya - Partido Socialista Obrero Español (PSC-PSOE) during the years 1993 - 1996 and member of the Catalan Audiovisual Council (CAC) between 2002 and 2008.
She is currently president of the Víctor Grífols i Lucas Foundation and member of the Bioethics Committee of Catalonia. She has been president of the Spanish Bioethics Committee. She has written several books on ethics, political philosophy, philosophy of religion, education and feminism. She has received the Espasa Essay Prize for La imaginación ética (1983), the Menéndez Pelayo International Prize (2008) and the National Essay Prize for El gobierno de las emociones (2011). She has coordinated Historia de la ética (in three volumes) and his latest publication is Elogio de la duda (2016).
