PhD in Computer Science from the Polytechnic University of Catalonia (UPC) and the Université Libre de Bruxelles (ULB). Currently, he is a postdoctoral researcher at the Department of Services and Information Systems Engineering of the UPC, as well as an associate professor at the Faculty of Computer Science of Barcelona.

His research interests are in the area of data and information management, with the main objective of providing automatic methods and tools to democratise access to data for non-native computer users. His current research focuses on the field of data discovery, one of the initial phases within the area of data integration, which is especially relevant nowadays given the widespread presence of large-scale open data ecosystems.
