PhD in Computer Engineering by the Autonomous University of Barcelona (UAB), he is currently a full professor in Artificial Intelligence in the Department of Computer Science of the same. He is also a researcher at the Computer Vision Center (CVC) where he has founded three spin-offs (Cloud Size Services, Visual Taggin, and Care Respite) and the Image Sequence Evaluation research group (ISE Lab). His research interests include machine learning techniques for computational interpretation of images and videos shared in social networks.
