BSc in Veterinary Science, after several years directing the NGO Veterinarios Sin Fronteras (1991-2009), he is currently coordinator of the magazine Soberanía Alimentaría, Biodiversidad y Culturas, and a close collaborator of peasant movements such as La Vía Campesina or Plataforma Rural.

He has written several books such as Lo que hay que tragar, Alimentos bajo sospecha and No vamos a tragar, as well as the short story compilations Sin lavarse las manos, Mucha gente pequeña and Secretos y cosechas.
