Carlota Sáenz de Tejada
Postdoctoral researcher in urban planning, environment and health
PhD in Architecture since 2019, winner of the Extraordinary End of Degree Award in 2014, she completed her doctorate at the Universidad San Pablo-CEU with a grant from the Ministry of Education's University Teacher Training Programme (FPU). During her pre-doctoral stage, she carried out international stays at the Politecnico di Milano and the University of Edinburgh.
She is currently a postdoctoral researcher at the Urban Planning, Environment and Health Initiative of the Barcelona Institute for Global Health (ISGlobal), where she leads the Housing and Health research line. She is principal investigator of the project HABITAS: Habitatge i Salut en temps de pandèmia i més enllà (awarded by the Department of Science and Universities of the Barcelona City Council, 2021-22) and has participated in several national and international projects on residential environment, urban and peri-urban landscape, informal settlements and sustainable urban development, collaborating with institutions such as the Diputació de Barcelona, the United Nations or the World Health Organization.
