She holds a degree in Sociology and in Social and Cultural Anthropology, a Master's degree in Sociological Research and a PhD in Sociology from the University of Barcelona (UB). Her doctoral thesis, Cuerpos (impertinentes): un análisis queer-crip de las posibilidades de subversión desde la diversidad funcional [(Impertinent) bodies: a queer-crip analysis of the possibilities of subversion from functional diversity], was awarded the Extraordinary Doctoral Prize in Sociology 2018.

Currently, she is Assistant Professor at the Department of Social Work at the National University of Distance Education (UNED) and member of the CareNet Research Group of the Internet Interdisciplinary Institute (IN3) of the Open University of Catalonia (UOC). Her lines of research address the intersections between feminist studies and critical disability studies, with the body and sexuality as key epistemic cores. She has relevant national and international publications in these fields.
