WHAT IS THE HISTORY OF SCIENCE AND WHAT DOES IT DO?
The history of science has changed radically in the last 30 to 40 years. These days it no longer treats scientists as great geniuses isolated from society, but it tries to place them in a particular historical context. This approach greatly enriches both history and science. Despite everything, this view of science does not often reach the general public.
How does this discipline regard science and the people that make it? With this talk given by Miquel Carandell at the Civic Centre Guinardó, we wish to take a small step to get closer to these new ways of seeing science.
