STEAM OUTSIDE THE CLASSROOM

The challenges posed by food in the world are global ones. The solutions for facing up to them, however, must necessarily be local: what can we do individually and collectively to contribute to food sustainability? Where should the food we eat each day come from? How can we eat healthily and sustainably in the city?

STEAM outside the classroom consists of a session working with a group of 100 schoolchildren who will collaborate to resolve different challenges about food and healthy living that we are faced with in the city of Barcelona, focusing especially on pulse vegetables.

The activity will conclude with a visit by the participants to the Institute for Bioengineering of Catalonia (IBEC) from 3 to 4 pm.

3 to 4 pm, visit to the facilities of the IBEC and to Barcelona Science Park (PCB).
