ROBOTS AND HUMANS

ROBOTICS, HUMAN BEHAVIOUR AND PROSOCIALITY

In recent decades technological tools have been developed to implement perceptive, cognitive, emotional and motor systems to facilitate functional recuperation, in the case of brain damage. How can virtual reality, robotics or music therapy help us, after a stroke or other brain damage? This knowledge is also applied to social robotics, a field of research about the complex relationship that humans develop with robots. The different experts will present the latest discoveries and will discuss the role of social robots when encouraging social and communicative skills in the case of emotional and cognitive disorders. We shall learn what prosociality is, a sure, viable, verifiable and measurable way of humanizing any environment, like for example robotics, and how it can be learned and trained, even in adulthood.
