Reis Fontanals
She has a PhD in Medieval History and a degree in Geography and History from the Autonomous University of Barcelona, and in Documentation Sciences from the Open University of Catalonia. Her professional career has always been linked to archives and the documentary heritage. She is the archivist of the National Library of Catalonia, where she has been in charge of historical documents and the administrative archive. Since 2012 she has been head of this institution’s Department of Diffusion. She has presented many of the library’s collections of documents in specialist journals, at conferences and in study sessions, with a special interest in the archive of the old Santa Creu Hospital.
