José Ramón Calvo

Has a PhD in Medicine from the University of Córdoba and is professor of Education for Health at the University of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria. He has been the executive director of the Spanish Office of the International Centre for Migration, Health and Development, founder and director of the El Barco de la Excelencia project, and executive director of the Excelencia Foundation, of which he has directed the Excelencia Campus for Nobel Prize winners and students. He has been the medical director of Mead Johnson-Bristol Myers Pharmaceuticals in Spain and Portugal. He is a full member of the Royal European Academy of Doctors (RAED), president of the Institute of Cooperation of this same institution and a full member of the Academy of Sciences and Engineering.
