THE PERIODIC TABLE AS A CULTURAL POINT OF REFERENCE

2019 is the 150th anniversary of the periodic table of chemical elements. The series “Views of science: the thousand faces of the periodic table”, held in four libraries in the city, looks at the origins of what has become a cultural icon, explains its secrets and the most unusual imitations, and also explores the connections established with other areas of knowledge, such as literature.

As part of this series, the Vila de Gràcia Library offers us the talk “The periodic table as a cultural point of reference”, given by Santiago Álvarez.
