LLUNÀTICS CLUB “SOM NATURA”
This activity brings back the tradition of the Llunàtics Club, a discussion about science that used to be held in the library in the Museum’s previous building, in the Ciutadella Park, and which took as its inspiration from the idea of the Lunar Society of Birmingham, an 18th-century scientific club that met on nights with a full moon, so that it would illuminate and thus enlighten the minds of its members.
In this open discussion at the Museum of Natural Sciences Barcelona, there will be a 20-minute presentation on the theme of the session, biodiversity, and then those in attendance will be able to take part in the discussion, taking on the roles of the 18th- and 19th-century scientists.
