THE BLUE LINE

With global warming, our planet will be facing huge changes and challenges. Why is the sea level rising? What impact does this rise have on marine biodiversity? How will the loss of ice in Greenland affect our coastline? Will we adapt to it? How?

With the scientists’ data and forecasts, we now have some idea of how the shoreline could change during the 21st century. We shall discover it at the Fàbrica del Sol in Barceloneta, and we will understand it even better by marking outside (on the beach and in Passeig Marítim) the blue line that will enable us to imagine how far the sea level will rise. With different coloured chalks, we will draw the current marine species, endangered or extinct, and we can even write a wish. Because, if we want to mitigate these forecasts, we have the last word!
