THREE DIALOGUES AND SIX VIEWS OF THE CITY, SCIENCE AND PARTICIPATION
What role can science play in the efforts to reverse situations of unfairness in the city? Is it possible to carry out collective research to generate evidence in order to respond to injustice or situations of vulnerability?
Six women, with different profiles and from different places, focused on community work and the construction of participative and socially robust knowledge, will hold three dialogues on different subjects, such as the fight against water pollution, the production of collaborative maps on housing and air pollution, the development of low-cost tools to obtain data of social and environmental interest, and the study of depressed neighbourhoods’ responses to situations of unfairness and vulnerability.
This activity, which is one of the events organized for Citizen Science Day 2019, is part of the European Union’s COST action on citizen science CA15212
