SCIENCE ACADEMIES NIGHT
To be able to visit the country’s science academies is not at all common, let alone at night. In the framework of the City and Science Biennial we will make it possible, and we will combine the visit to their buildings, notable from the patrimonial and historical points of view, with activities expressly devised for tonight.
The short distances between the different academies that are on this route allows those taking part in Science Academies Night to make a combined visit to several of these bodies: the Royal Academy of Sciences and Arts of Barcelona, the Royal Academy of Pharmacy of Catalonia, the Royal Academy of Medicine of Catalonia, the Library of Catalonia, the Institute of Catalan Studies and the Spanish National Research Council (in carrer Egipcíaques). From 10 to 11 pm the activity concludes with a talk in each of them. It is, then, a night devoted to these hundred-year-old institutions that gather knowledge and demonstrate the city’s importance in the field of scientific research.
7 to 10 pm: visits every 30 minutes to each place (the Library of Catalonia will be visited after 8 pm).
10 to 11 pm: simultaneous talk in each place
