THE CITY AND CITIZEN SCIENCE
CITIZEN SCIENCE DAY 2019
The practices of citizen science have intensified in urban contexts all over the world. These initiatives include the participation of non-specialists in the identification of concerns, research design, data gathering and interpretation and proposals for actions, among other tasks.
With the aid of international, state-level and local experiences, we shall ask whether citizen science can contribute to promoting new civic policies or collaborating in the already existing ones, and whether it can reach out to the citizens’ movements that are working to transform society.
This activity, one of the events organized to mark Citizen Science Day 2019, is part of the European Union’s COST action on citizen science CA15212.
Places limited. Advance enrolment necessary.
