Jordi Vila

Head of the of Clinical Microbiology Service of the Hospital Clínic in Barcelona, professor of the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Barcelona and professor of research at the Institute of Global Health in Barcelona (ISGlobal), where he directs the Antimicrobial Resistance Initiative. His principal area of interest is the development of new drugs against multi-resistant bacteria and molecular tools for the rapid diagnosis of infectious diseases.
