GUIDED TOUR OF THE BIBLIOGRAPHIC MATERIAL SPECIALIZING IN SCIENTIFIC ILLUSTRATION

Before the development of photography, scientific illustration was a basic tool for describing the world. Scientific illustrators used illustration to visually describe, in as much detail as possible, the appearance and behaviour of the different elements of nature, at the same time creating works of great aesthetic value.

The Civic Centre Urgell, specializing in illustration, proposes for us a guided tour of the documentary material in the Museum of Natural Sciences in Barcelona, in the Nature Laboratory Library, in order to get to know its bibliographic collection specializing in scientific illustration.
