GATHERING OF 100 WOMEN SCIENTISTS

Encouraging a vocation for science is like planting a seed: it is a long-term investment that will bear its fruit in the future, with clear and positive repercussions for society.

The 100tíqfiques programme begins with a training session with more than 100 women with a scientific and technological profile, who will discuss being role models for the promotion of other women in scientific careers. There will be networking and a talk: “Teaching science: how to transmit science in schools”. Later, on 11 February, as part of the International Day of Women and Girls in Science, these scientists will share their experience in their scientific and technological careers with pupils from 100 schools in Catalonia.

Programme promoted by the Catalan Foundation for Research and Innovation, the Generalitat de Catalunya’s Education Department and the Barcelona Education Consortium, with the support of the Barcelona Institute of Science and Technology and STEMcat.
