FEMALE ASTRONOMERS

On 11 February the International Day of Women and Girls in Science is commemorated. To mark this commemoration, Núria Zubiri will give a talk paying tribute to some female astronomers who were unfortunately born at the wrong time time for their scientific development. Some of them accepted it, others fought it, some made the most of it and many resigned themselves to it. United by the difficulties and the invisibility, they got on with it and lived their dream: studying, doing science and changing our understanding of the universe.
