Ateneu Popular de 9 Barris

A social and cultural centre created during the struggle of the people of Nou Barris after they demolished the asphalt plant that stood there previously in 1977. It is run by the Bidó Association in Nou Barris, the successor to the first pro-Ateneu civic movements in Nou Barris, and it has grown as a point of reference for social and cultural facilities in the metropolitan area, thanks above all to it being an all-round project, to its artistic programme associated with the circus, and to its involvement with different social movements.
