ARTISTS IN THE LABORATORY

Throughout history, there have always been artists who have worked with scientists and technologists, and vice versa. But these fruitful experiences have often been rendered invisible due to a compartmentalization of knowledge that today, with the new interdisciplinary and holistic approaches, has become obsolete.

Cities have become the places par excellence for this hybridization of knowledge and culture, and with the proliferation of successful experiences, institutions of all kinds have increasingly ventured to work in them uninhibitedly. The initiatives and the programmes that we shall present in this round table are focused on the collaboration between artists, scientists and technologists. We want to learn from them and reflect on it together bearing in mind the successes and, also, the failures.
